Delegate

Delegations is number one on our chart of tips and ideas to help remove stress from wedding planning. Sometimes we have to roll up our sleeves and give orders {in a  nice way that is} to make your vision come to life. Believe it or not, your friends and family want to help, so if it is your pride – please place it on a hidden shelf and “get the asking.” First, make a list of everything that has to be done and then find the person{s} that would do it best to so that item can get checked off your list. Don’t forget common courtesy of saying “please & thank-you.”

Rest

Sure you want to get it all done, but the plans will not come together if your mind cannot keep up with your body. Rest  is something you want to get a lot of, to avoid having a “zilla moment” or melt downs. With an adequate amount of rest, you will be able to think clearly and plan like a pro. Grab a latte. Grab a magazine. Go on an impromptu date night. Close that binder – bottom line let your hair down and have some fun!  There will be times when you have to take a break from your planning your picture perfect wedding or event. Don’t loose focus on what matters the most with obsessing on how your event should be.

Budget

Create your budget and keep it set! It is so easy to max out your budget after after having a virtual affair with Pinterest. Another thing to consider when creating your budget are the taxes, service charges and the delivery fees, so please request them when you’re requesting a proposal. Create a list with your top five must haves {items that you must have or else your event will not be the same} so you can work on getting those items done.

Checklist

Making a checklist is oh-so necessary. You want to create a list with several categories, i.e food and beverage, the details and decor, the entertainment… With each category, you will need to list the details and who will be responsible for that item, I don’t know about you, but I LURVE {love} placing a check box by each item.

Patience

Patience is the last of our tips and ideas to help remove stress from wedding planning is to give yourself enough time to plan your wedding or event. On average, we can plan a beautiful wedding within 45 days, sure we can plan it with less time, but working with the logistic and other professional’s schedule can take a little more time than anticipated. Just know that when you leave yourself with less time for the planning, you will be faced with making payments in full versus payment arrangements.
